Our good friend, and longtime graphic designer (our current logo, labels, upcoming merch...) at Outer Shell stopped by the other day to get his Hunter Woodrat 29er outfitted for a quick bikepacking trip. He's heading up to Mt. Diablo for exploring off-the-beaten-path and wanted some fresh bags to hold his essentials.

His frame was built by Rick Hunter in late 2020 - part of a batch that includes my (Jim) own Hunter Woodrat, and a few that went to other lucky owners in and around SF. They're awesome all-around MTBs designed for a 140mm fork, with a nice long wheelbase and clearance for meaty tires. There are some sweet details like the hand-cut dropouts and chainstay yoke, and Rick's signature wishbone seat stay.
Rick hasn't really been building many/any frames as of late, but he does stock a nice selection of sweet parts and accessories still!
Daryl grabbed a Mega Bar Bag, Top Tube Bag, and Half Frame Bag to kit out his bike.
