Randonneur Style Rackbag

Here's a bag I've been in love with for a few hundred miles now. I wanted something for my Pass and Stow rack that would be rigid and sturdy as hell. Three iterations later, this beauty was birthed. Platform racks secure bags a lot better than shorty randonneuring racks, preventing your load from shifting around. For off-road riding, the benefits of a rigid top load is much worth a minor weight penalty. Pair it with a decaleur as shown and its bombproof. This bag uses three stiff inserts (front, back, bottom) and two thinner ones (sides). The two side pieces can be pulled out and used as cutting boards!

Features:

  • Three polycarbonate inserts (front, back, bottom)
  • Two cutting board side inserts
  • Expandable 2-D side pockets (one Cordura, one mesh netting)
  • Two 3-D rear pockets
  • One 3-D front pocket
  • Oversized rain coverage for all pockets
  • Oversized clear map case with compass zipper pull
  • 3-D top lid
  • Brass D-rings for shoulder strap
  • Custom fitted
  • Polyurethane coated Cordura body with vinyl lining
